To switch between smoke and heat mode, please press the test button 3 times . If the detector is already mounted on the ceiling, you can also use a broom handle.

• The LED flashes red once : Smoke mode has been activated.
• The LED flashes green once : Heat mode has been activated.

Each smoke detector should be installed according to the manufacturer's instructions . As a general rule, smoke detectors should be installed on the ceiling and, if possible, in the middle of a room . In the case of networked smoke detectors, it is also important to ensure that all devices are properly connected to one another .

To turn the smoke detectors on and off, you must press and hold the test surface for about 10 seconds .

You can also do this with a broom handle , for example, if the detector is in an elevated position .

Sometimes the devices need a little longer than the 10 second button press described to turn on. In this case, we would ask you to hold down the test area for up to 30 seconds

We only recommend mounting with adhesive strips if the surface of your wall is suitable for this. If the adhesive strips do not hold reliably , we would recommend fixing with screws , as the detectors could be damaged or trigger a false alarm if they fall off the wall.

The necessary tools for both types of installation are included in the scope of delivery .
